This video was used to promote the feature film Patang (The Kite) during director Prashant Bhargava’s several years of fundraising to complete its production.
It features outtakes from the film that around an Indian wedding band and the wedding celebration itself. These crisp and vibrant shots were achieved using a Panasonic HVX200 with traditional glass ND filters; 35mm lens adaptors were abandoned due to their producing a “computery blown out background.” Patang screened last year at MVFF34 and is now showing at select theaters around the country.
